It is with deep regret that the Cottekill Volunteer Fire Company announces the passing of Life Member Robert "Bob" Boyer. Bob Joined the fire company in July of 1968 and was an active firefighter through the late 70's.

Members of the Cottekill Fire Company participated in a live burn drill with members from Bloomington, High Falls, Rosendale, Stone Ridge, Ulster Hose and Kingston. The burn was conducted at the former Williams Lake Resort in a 2 story 32 hotel room building.

The Cottekill Volunteer Fire Company held a Halloween Party and Open House for all community residents on Halloween. There were games and prizes, a hay maze (donated by Davenport Farms, tours of the fire trucks and demonstrations by firefighters.
