John, who goes by "Wayne", has been a volunteer with several emergency services organizations, both fire and EMS, since 1974. Over the years he has held various positions from lieutenant to assistant chief,  and communications officer to trustee. He was appointed to the rank of Captain in January 2025 here at CVFC. 

Outside of volunteering, his professional career centers around two-way communications sales and installations, as well as security.
